Aim speed determines how quickly your character or vehicle aims their weapon. Moving the crosshairs quickly can be an advantage when your enemy is moving or behind you. Some players, especially snipers, lower their aim speed to make moving the crosshairs less erratic.

How to Change Your Aim Speed[]

At the front menu, select Options, then Controller, then select which aspect you would like to adjust the aim speed for.

During a match, you can switch your aim speed fairly quickly. Click Start, then select Controller, then select which aspect you would like to adjust the aim speed for.

Lower Aim Speed makes the crosshairs move slower for better accuracy. Higher Aim Speed makes them move faster allowing you to spin quickly.

The default is 50%.

Tips[]

  • Close Quarters - During close quarters combat, it is useful to be able to move your crosshairs quickly to track a target or to acquire a new one. Use high aim speed to achieve this. The best 1v1 players use 100% aim speed; however, they are also extremely precise with their movements.

  • Sniping - Once your in a good sniping position, you can lower your aim speed to increase your accuarcy and precision. Each users preference will be different in this regard.

  • Ground to Air - If your having difficulty tracking a target in the air, then you should increase your aim speed.

  • Experiment - What's best for you will depend on your hand-eye co-ordination, and the type of fights you most often find yourself in.
